The Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will ensure that projects are organized, executed efficiently, and delivered to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of project coordination experience in the construction industry, LEED BD+C certification, and a proven track record managing LEED-certified projects from documentation to certification. You will work closely with project teams to deliver sustainable, high-quality projects that align with LAURIN’s commitment to excellence.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Estimating team with tender closings, as needed.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with sub-trades, consultants, and internal project teams.
  • Prepare, submit, and track Requests for Information (RFIs) to ensure timely resolution of design and scope clarifications.
  • Review, process, and distribute project changes (Site Instructions, Contemplated Change Notices, Change Orders).
  • Review, submit, and manage shop drawings and submittals, ensuring alignment with contract documents and sustainability requirements.
  • Apply for and obtain Notice of Project for all designated projects.
  • Prepare and issue Purchase Orders for subcontractors and suppliers as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Source and qualify suppliers and subcontractors as requested by the Project Manager, with consideration for sustainability and LEED material requirements.
  • Attend site meetings and issue meeting minutes when required.
  • Receive, price, implement, and coordinate all project changes with the Project Manager.
  • Assist the Project Manager with the monthly billing cycle and progress documentation.
  • Oversee project completion and close-out activities, including preparation of Operations & Maintenance manuals and LEED documentation for submission.
  • Manage smaller projects as directed and supervised by the Project Manager.
  • Lead LEED coordination efforts, including tracking and documenting LEED credits, liaising with consultants and trades for compliance, and maintaining project documentation to support certification.
  • Ensure all sustainability objectives are integrated into the project execution plan and communicated to the project team.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of progressive project coordination experience in general contracting or construction.
  • LEED BD+C certification is required, with demonstrated experience managing LEED projects.
  • PMP certification or enrollment considered an asset.
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, Primavera, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Maestro.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction contracts, drawings, and specifications.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive mindset with a commitment to sustainability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.

Education & Professional Designations

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction/Project Management, or related field; or Technical Diploma/Certificate with relevant experience.
  • Professional designations such as P.Eng., M.Eng., LEED, PMP are valued.
