LAURIN is committed to treating all people with dignity and independence; we believe in integration and equal opportunity.
We are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities; we will prevent and remove accessibility barriers and meet accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. At LAURIN, we are dedicated to operating under the principles of integration, dignity, and respect for individuals’ independence. We intend to meet the regulation of Accessibility Standards, Ontario Regulation 1914/11, and Employment standards set forth under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005.
We welcome people with disabilities and their service animals or support persons on our premises. LAURIN takes pride in ensuring our employees; project managers, site superintendents, labourers, and office staff are trained in dealing with individuals with disabilities.
Customers who wish to provide feedback on how LAURIN offers goods and services to people with disabilities can email or discuss verbally with us. All feedback, including complaints, will be discussed with management as to how we can improve access. Customers can expect to hear back within two business days. If our policies do not respect or promote the dignity and independence of people with disabilities it will be subject to policy reform.
In the event of a planned or unexpected disruption to services or facilities for customers with disabilities, LAURIN will notify customers expeditiously. Posted notice will include information about the reason for the disruption, its anticipated length of time, and a description of alternative facilities or services, if available.
The notices will be placed at reception, and the receptionist will be notified to provide information to those with disabilities requiring our services or facility.
